90fifty10: Fantasy Football Edition featuring Josh Gordon, Tevin Coleman & Breshad Perriman

The Fantasy 90fifty10 – Football Edition

Josh Gordon (85.9% owned) If Flash Gordon is somehow unowned in your league, get him now. Like stop reading this, get him now. Gordon has enormous talent, but also an enormous love for things that rhyme with tweed and fair-ah-wanna. He’s suspended until week 5, but during his time practicing and playing in the pre-season, he’s looked explosive. In his last full season (2013) he led the league in receiving yards, and he seems QB-proof, regardless of whatever brutal Browns back that will be tossing wounded ducks to him.

Tevin Coleman (64.7% owned) The back to own in Atlanta now? First, my condolences if you spent a first round pick on Devonta Freeman. Secondly, Coleman is worth spending your waiver priority (or around one eighth of your auction budget) on. He won the starting job last pre-season but fizzled out when Freeman took hold. Now it’s the other way around – Coleman had three fewer carries than Freeman in week 1, but I can assure you that will change, because he turned 5 receptions in to 95 yards. The running game in Atlanta has been described as a two-headed monster, which is frustrating for Freeman owners but great for Coleman owners, so if you have the opportunity to grab him, go ahead and get it done.

Breshad Perriman (6.5% owned) Now here’s a flyer, literally. Perriman’s first career catch was an unbelievable one on the sidelines during week 1, but it was his only catch of the game. The other receivers around him, Wallace and Smith, are definitely going to get more volume for the time being, but there’s hardly a chance both of them play every game, or at least maintain their energy and presence through the season. Perriman is fresh, has tons of energy, and has the big play potential to run down overthrown balls from Ravens QB Joe Flacco. Combine Perriman’s potential with the fact that Baltimore attempted the most passes out of any team last year and that there are two aging receivers ahead of him on the depth chart, and we’re looking at one hell of a bench stash.
